RAU hosted a special screening of the movie "Anatolian Story"

It is noteworthy that the shooting of the series also took place on the territory of the Russian-Armenian University.

The screening of the drama series "Anatolian Story" was held at the House of Culture of the Russian-Armenian University on October 9. The event was attended by the author of the book "Anatolian story. Where the wild roses bloom" Mark Aren (he's also known as director of RAU Institute of Media, Advertising and Cinema Karen Markarian), the director of the film Hrach Keshishyan, RAU Rector Professor Edward Sandoyan, as well as students, lecturers and university staff.

"I tried to look at our Armenian tragedy which took place more than 100 years ago from a different perspective. It is important to note that one of the elements of my adventurous genre is that I never force my characters to do anything, I give them my word and simply observe them. It was extremely unexpected for me that while visiting a Bulgarian family, Mustafa, one of the main characters , would hear a lullaby in Armenian, which would remind him of his childhood... And then he would come to realize that his mother was Armenian," Mark Aren shared.

The audience present at the screening watched the first episode of the movie "Anatolian Story" and saw the events and life story of Gazi Mustafa. From a young age, he devoted himself to the service of Turkey, but at the end of his life fate suddenly brought him to the past, forcing him to rethink his life.

It should be noted that the shooting of the series also took place on the territory of the Russian-Armenian University. According to director Hrach Keshishyan, shooting at the university premises gave the film the very atmosphere of Yerevan students.

"Screening "Anatolian Story" within the walls of RAU was a great occasion for us to come together in such difficult times. I am grateful to this university for its help and assistance in working on the series, because many shots were filmed here," Hrach Keshishyan emphasized.

Mark Aren's novel "Anatolian story. Where the wild roses bloom." has been one of his most popular books for many years. Periodically topping the hit parade of bestsellers according to Armenpress, this story is equally interesting to both Armenian and foreign readers because of its humanity. The book is published in Farsi, Armenian, Russian and English.
