On September 1, the Russian-Armenian University marked the beginning of a new school year, which will give us more knowledge, skills, experience and opportunities, will give new friends and incredible memories.

The Rector of the Russian-Armenian University, Doctor of economic sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, Professor Edward Sandoyan welcomed the students, their parents and all the participants.

"Greetings to all, dear students and parents. The Knowledge Day for young people is the best holiday. You are entering a new life, a new university atmosphere, meeting interesting people who will teach you not only professional skills, but also have fun in the coming years. You are lucky, you are students of the Russian-Armenian University, which we are sure is the best in Armenia and not only! Congratulations! Hurrah!"

The rector of RAU, Professor E.M. Sandoyan emphasized the unprecedented number of freshmen: "Dear guys, I am glad that we are so many, we are becoming more and more people. When we were building this auditorium many years ago, we had no idea that the day would come and the freshmen might not fit here. This is our success, students, professors. Everyone is lucky! We are lucky to have you, and you are lucky to have us".

He said that never before in human history had knowledge been as important as it is now.

"In the past, mankind functioned under the conditions of the importance of resources, dominated by those nations and states that had more resources - the most diverse.
Everything depended on it. Today we are in a new revolution, already living in an era of artificial intelligence, where nothing is more important than knowledge. In today’s world resources are important, but not as important as knowledge, which is now becoming fateful. The highest standard of living is where the innovation economy - knowledge and technology - decides everything. So knowledge is the kind of investment you make in yourself to live happily and richly. RAU in this sense guarantees you a happy and better life as you get diplomas that will make you strong and competitive in the labor market. And each of you is responsible for your knowledge and for your future! No one should force you to learn, it is in your interest," noted Edward Sandoyan.

After the ceremonial part of the students were distributed in directions for meeting with the heads of the Institutes and familiarization with the learning process.
