RAU Press Secretary Diana Khoderyan Participates in the “Internovosti” Project

The event brought together more than 100 young journalists, bloggers, and press service employees from CIS countries and neighboring states.

Diana Khoderyan, Press Secretary of the Russian-Armenian University and correspondent for the EduRAU media platform, participated in the international educational project “Internovosti,” which brought together more than 100 young journalists, bloggers, and press service employees from CIS countries and neighboring states from October 11 to 17. Participants visited leading Russian media outlets, including TASS, Russia Today, and VKontakte, learned about newsroom operations and modern media technologies, and took part in a cultural program organized in Moscow.

During professional meetings, participants discussed the future of journalism in the age of artificial intelligence and fake news, issues of professional ethics, and the specific challenges of working with information. Marat Abulkhatin, Deputy Director General of TASS, shared his experience and practical advice with the participants. “I am convinced that it is precisely through projects like this that a solid foundation for dialogue between our countries is established. These meetings help strengthen professional ties between Armenia and Russia, which may later develop into joint media projects, educational initiatives, and long-term cooperation,” Diana Khoderyan noted.

Participants also attended the awards ceremony for the winners of the international “Eurasia” competition, held at the National Centre “Russia.” This year, the competition brought together 5,500 participants from 73 countries worldwide. The “Internovosti” project has been implemented by Rossotrudnichestvo since December 2023, with the aim of enhancing the professional skills of young media professionals, developing international media dialogue, and strengthening humanitarian ties.
