Mid-Autumn Festival celebrated at RAU

Young diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Armenia and the Russian Embassy in Armenia have participated in the event.

The celebration of one of the most famous and beloved Chinese holidays 中秋节 (Zhōngqiū Jié), the Mid-Autumn Festival, was held at RAU on September 19. Young diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Armenia and the Russian Embassy in Armenia participated in the event.

Many traditions and legends are connected with this event. The date of the celebration is determined by the Chinese lunar calendar: the 15th day of the 8th month.
During the festival, guests and students of RAU were introduced to the Chinese culture and customs of this holiday, and they also tried a traditional dish, Mooncake.

It should be noted that the event aimed to introduce young diplomats to the activities of the Confucius Class at RAU: the organizers sought to create a unique platform for cultural exchange, where traditions and modern approaches can mutually enrich each other.
