Russian Students Completed a Research Internship within the Framework of the Greater Eurasian Partnership
The participants got acquainted with the basics of conducting forensic examinations, principles of working with evidence, methods of trace analysis, as well as modern technologies used in solving crimes.
A group of students from Russia participated in a scientific internship as part of the project “Involving the Student Scientific Society in the Study of Legal Cooperation between States.”
During the internship, the students explored the levels of higher education and educational programs in the host country, compared teaching approaches, and examined the practice of allocating young specialists and its impact on the labor market. An important aspect of their work was studying the collaboration between educational institutions and employers, joint development of educational programs, and the involvement of professionals in teaching and conducting master classes.
Particular attention was paid to the application of digital technologies in educational processes. Participants familiarized themselves with e-learning systems, digital platforms for student-teacher interaction, and access to academic data. As part of the program, the students also studied regulatory documents governing academic mobility, scientific activities, and internships.
It should be noted that Suren Gasumyan, a lecturer at the Chair of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law of IP RAU Kazumyan, conducted a practical lesson on criminology for students. The participants got acquainted with the basics of conducting forensic examinations, principles of working with evidence, methods of trace analysis, as well as modern technologies used in solving crimes.

This was my first internship at a foreign university, and it turned out to be a fascinating and unique experience. In such a short time, we managed to meet the heads of chairs at the RAU Institute of Law. It was extremely interesting to compare approaches and the overall learning process. We also had the chance to meet a judge of the Cassation Court and visit the session hall of the Constitutional Court of Armenia. Of course, we also explored Yerevan a lot and immersed ourselves in the local culture! I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the university administration for their warm welcome and hospitality!

The Russian-Armenian University left unforgettable impressions: friendly students, highly qualified faculty, and a responsive administration — all of this is just the tip of the iceberg of one of the best universities in the Republic of Armenia.
During the research internship, the university administration organized meetings with faculty members, which helped us gain a deeper understanding of the university’s educational process and even feel like RAU students. Additionally, thanks to the university administration, we were lucky enough to visit the highest judicial institutions in Armenia — the Cassation and Constitutional Courts, which gave us a better understanding of how the judicial system is organized in the country.
As part of the internship, the university also arranged a cultural program, including a sightseeing tour to Lake Sevan. Not only did we see one of the most beautiful places in Armenia, but we also learned more about the culture and history of this remarkable country.
Both Armenia and the Russian-Armenian University left only positive emotions and a strong desire to continue discovering this country and its university.

The research internship at the Russian-Armenian university was very short — just one week. However, even in this short time, we experienced the warm and welcoming atmosphere here. Friendly students, competent professors, and always supportive staff made our visit exceptionally comfortable.
We were deeply engaged not only in learning about the foreign legal system but also in experiencing the unique culture of Armenia. Thanks to the warm reception, we were able to communicate with professors and students, visit the Constitutional and Cassation Courts, and see many other remarkable places.
A huge thank you to the administration of the Russian-Armenian University, especially the Institute of Law, for this unforgettable opportunity and their hospitality!
