Nottingham University student Xīn completed his further education program at RAU
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the amazing Armenian people and especially to my professors at the Russian-Armenian University! I highly recommend the Russian Language and Culture program if you're looking for a life-changing experience!
Xīn Hao Ho, a student from the University of Nottingham, UK, studied at the Russian-Armenian University under the further education program Russian Language and Culture from February 3 to May 31 of the 2024-2025 academic year.
As part of the education program, Xīn devoted the most hours to the course of Russian as a Foreign Language (Levels B1-B2): Vocabulary/Grammar, Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking. He was taught by PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Liana Petrosyan, and lecturers Larisa Hakobyan and Victoria Hakobyan, specialists in Russian as a Foreign Language from the Russian Language and Professional Communication Department.
Besides, Marina Kocharyan, PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Russian Language and Professional Communication, helped Xīn master the course Linguocultural Aspects of Russian Language Study. This knowledge inspired the student of the University of Nottingham to travel throughout Armenia, getting to know and interacting with Armenians through Russian. Shin visited Garni, Geghard, Khor Virap, Sevanavank, Dilijan, Noravank, Tatev, Zvartnots, Echmiadzin, among other sights, as well as Yerevan's most iconic museums.
"My stay in Armenia was simply wonderful! I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the amazing Armenian people and especially my professors at the Russian-Armenian University. I highly recommend the Russian Language and Culture program if you're looking for a life-changing experience! I will definitely return to Armenia in the future!" XīnHao shared.
His visit to Armenia, the Russian-Armenian University, his education through the Russian Language and Culture further education program was made possible by the visit of Monica White, Associate Professor of Russian and Slavic Studies of the Faculty of Arts, at the University of Nottingham and the inter-university cooperation agreement signed with the University of Nottingham.
It should be noted that the RAU Center for Russian Studies has been successfully implementing the Russian Language and Culture further education program for several years now, at a high professional and scientific level. Karen Hakobyan, PhD, Associate Professor, and Professor, is the head of the RAU Center for Russian Studies and the developer and curator of this program.
