The representatives of world’s leading universities from 30 countries discussed the latest trends of the development of the higher education system on the sidelines of the International Partners’ Week, exchanged innovative ideas and best practices in matters relating to development of academic and student mobility, as well as deepening and expanding international partnership. They also became acquainted with HSE programs.

Within the framework of the program, Mariam Voskanyan made a presentation on the topic “International environment for foreign students at the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University” at the working session “Development of an international environment for creating comfortable conditions for self-realization of foreign students”. She presented RAU as a vivid example of creating an international environment, and the center of Russian education, science and culture in Armenia and the Transcaucasian region as a whole.

“Among the priorities of RAU, it is essential to designate the training of highly qualified and competitive specialists in the labor market, who possess a broad outlook and worldview in their professional field, who have a decent command of  Armenian and Russian," Mariam Voskanyan shared. – “I would like to emphasize that about 25% of the annual RAU enrollment consists of students from CIS countries (primarily from Russia, where the largest Armenian diaspora is located, as well as from Georgia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan) and non-CIS countries. Along with the role of the hubof Russian culture in the region, RAU has its mission to introduce Diaspora Armenians to their own culture, through the creation of an international environment in the walls of the university."

It should be noted that the program of the HSE International Partners’ Week included 7 plenary and working sessions devoted to key issues of education, digital transformation and strengthening cooperation in Greater Eurasia.
